Darren Ochosky, B.Sc.; M.B.A.; C.I.T.P. – General Manager

Mr. Ochosky has over 39 years of experience in sales and marketing in the automotive, communications, and industrial heating equipment industries.

At General Motors and Nissan Canada, Mr. Ochosky acted as a Distribution Specialist and District Sales Manager where he was responsible for activities in the prairie region. During his tenure in the automotive industry he implemented numerous dealer advertising and training programs to improve territory sales performance. After only 6 months with Nissan Canada, he was promoted from the smallest to largest prairie region territory.

Mr. Ochosky’s involvement in the communication industry placed him in the capacity of Branch Manager where he was responsible for business start-up, development and implementation of numerous marketing initiatives, and business plans associated with wireless equipment at National Pagette (Bell Canada), Glenarye Communications, and CitiPage Ltd.

In 1993, Mr. Ochosky joined Ruffneck Heaters as Sales & Marketing Manager where he was instrumental in introducing numerous marketing plans for new products, developing competitive benchmarking programs, and directing U.S. market sales growth through OEM initiatives that resulted in winning million dollar accounts. Under his 10-year tenure, the company’s sales were tripled. Mr. Ochosky also led the company in developing European Union market entry strategies to expand sales of European approved products.

In September 2004, Mr. Ochosky founded Hazloc Heaters™ with Clinton Lewis who later partnered with the Ouellet Group.

Mr. Ochosky holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Saskatchewan. In 2003, Mr. Ochosky also received his Certified International Trade Professional (C.I.T.P.) designation from the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), whom also awarded him with the “2003 Student of the Year Award” in recognition of his scholastic achievements.


Alan Boyce, P.L. Eng, P. Tech (Eng), PMP – Engineering/Operations Manager

Mr. Boyce has over 35 years of experience with manufacturing companies in responsible technical and managerial positions, both with national and international manufacturing businesses of varying sizes.

Graduating with honors from Engineering Design & Drafting Technology, he continuing his education at SAIT, MRU and U of C. Within six months of graduation he was promoted to supervisor of the Design and Drafting department at Victory Equipment an agriculture equipment manufacturer in Southern Alberta.

In relocating to Calgary in 1989 he joined a major industrial heater manufacturer and was responsible for R&D and manufacturing equipment of hazardous location heating products for which many of these products and manufacturing techniques are still used today.

In 1996 he was recruited by Evans Consoles to work in the Engineering department as a lead in the area of Engineering and Project Management. Due to his innovative skills he was asked to lead many R&D product development groups for the development of new innovative products used in the industrial control center industry.

In 1998 he joined Gentherm/Global Thermoelectric, a world leader in remote power to create first of a kind integrated power solutions to generate reliable industrial power in remote locations for customers that do not have access to power sources or dependable grid power in the O&G and telecom industry. These system where utilized in over 32 counties around the world. As the Integrated Systems Engineering Manager he was responsible to develop innovative power systems to operate very effectively with many different technologies worldwide in the harshest possible environments.

In 2011 he went to DXP/Natpro, Canada’s largest full-service distributor of pumps and compressors and manufacturer turn-key process packages for O&G industry and municipal water supplies. As the company’s Engineering Manager and Sr. Project Manager he saw them through a period of high growth and diversification of integrated packaged systems.

In April 2015, Mr. Boyce joined Hazloc Heaters™.

As a designated professional member with APEGA, ASET,&, PMI he stays in touch with the ever changing manufacturing industry and seeks continuous professional development.


Clinton Lewis, P. Eng.

Mr. Lewis was one of the founders of Hazloc Heaters™ in 2004 and acted as President & General Manager until his retirement on May 29, 2015.
