June 9, 2011 – Hazloc Heaters™, a manufacturer of industrial unit heaters for hazardous and severe-duty locations, is proud to introduce our NEW XDC-01 Explosion-Proof Disconnect Switch.

The XDC-01 is designed for rugged industrial applications to provide load isolation or motor control switching in areas that are classified as hazardous locations. XDC-01 disconnect switches meet both CSA and UL Certification Standards to Class I & II, Div. 1 & 2, Groups C, D, E, F, & G; Class 1, Zones 1 & 2, Groups IIA & IIB, T5 and Class III.

The XDC-01 disconnect switch is electrically rated at 600 Volt A.C., 50 Amp max, three pole, non-fused with maximum horsepower ratings up to 30 HP. The XDC-01 disconnect switch can be configured for a wall mount application with many types of electrical equipment or can be ordered as a built in option on Hazloc Heaters’ XEU1 series of explosion-proof heaters.

The XDC-01 incorporates a robust pistol handle that can be locked in the OFF position, large NEMA Type 7 & 9 enclosure with DIN rail mounting, three openings, and two grounding lugs for simplified field wiring. An added benefit is Hazloc Heaters’ 36-month warranty!
